Scotty Kilmer. your crazy. I drain the ‘16 explorer every 30k. Motorcraft 4.2 Qts and the PTU 14oz syn, and oil every 5k syn with MC filter.

Scotty Kilmer Question: I’ve got a 2015 Ford Focus titanium with 59k miles. Bought it used six months ago. Have had nonstop problems with stalling at idle and low speeds (as RPMs drop it shudders like it’s running out of gas and then shuts off -and then when you wait 5 seconds and restart it it’s usually back to normal. Also sometimes problems starting, it won’t restart at all. When it stalls it has a wrench light (“engine fault service now”) but no CE light. Sometimes however there is a CE light and the codes are p322 and p320 but very generic and no specific solutions. The CE light goes away overnight. It’s an intermittent problem, seems totally random. Sometimes it does it several times in a row, other times it won’t do it for a week. I have taken it to the ford dealership three separate times for a week each time and they say they have no idea what it could be and claim that they haven’t been able to replicate the problem. I’ve gotten opinions from friends that range from EGR to PCM to TCM to ground issue to throttle body to coils to clutch. I took it to a mechanic who cleaned out the fuel system and put a fuel additive in it, to clean the carbon out, etc., but it did not help a bit. He then said he didn’t know. He thought it was the fuel pump originally but it wasn’t. I took it back to ford dealership and they did a TCU software update and it’s still having the same problem. It seems to be ok at high speeds but low speeds and idle it dies. My VIN number doesn’t show any recalls. My power train warranty expires soon and I want to solve the problem before it expires in case it’s covered. It’s so frustrating. I know other people have had problems that are kind of similar with this model car but none of them seem to be the exact same thing as this. What in the world is happening? Can you help me out? What are your thoughts?

You’re wrong Scotty. I got a 07 Mitsubishi Galant with 206,000 miles and everything is all original. I got it in 2011 with 75,000 miles on it. Mine was built well 👍🏾

Our 2012 Flex also had a 150K interval. The PO did it at 80K and I did it myself at 108 and there's no way I'd ever go 150K! Regardless of the make up of Mercon LV. Ford definitely builds nice vehicles but holy crap; the maintenance is awful. Took me 10hrs to to the waterpump but on my 2006 Sivlerado it was 90mins! I'm not shittin' ya Scotty; the waterpump is under a cover with 20+ bolts behind the timing chain!
